Thanks for visiting my blog! As you may know, I started posting about my trek through “The Coastal South” on Instagram. If you want to see where I started, you can follow me:
@thecoastalsouth Or, if you're more of a Facebook person, visit: https://www.facebook.com/thecoastalsouth/ After gaining a following, I've decided that it’s finally time to work on a better platform. (It’s been tricky squeezing so much information into those tiny Instagram captions!) I have loved each and every one of your comments, messages, and suggestions – even meeting some of you guys in-person! Thanks to you, I’ve learned so much more about our beautiful coast and had some incredible opportunities. I’m looking forward to using this blog to provide more pictures and information about the sites I visit. Here, you can find locations, sources, and details ad nauseam! Happy hunting! |
I'm Alex.
I was born and raised in a small coastal town in Georgia. Here, I developed a great appreciation for the outdoors – mostly the sea, its marshes, beaches, and maritime forest. I also found that when I understood the history of a place, I enjoyed it that much more. So, naturally, I got a degree in the Southern Studies concentration (English/History of the American South). I’ve since worked as a writer by trade and an explorer by choice. I hope to help anyone learn something new, remember something old, find adventure, or just see some cool photos! |
